Teamsolve are delighted to have recently secured a support agreement with The Denby Pottery Company, Derbyshire's finest stoneware producer and exporter
Denby is world famous for its stoneware products and is fast gaining a reputation for porcelain and china. Charting back to 1809, Denby has been making pottery for 200 years, celebrating their 200th year anniversary this year.
Teamsolve has been chosen as Denby's preferred supplier to provide second line functional and technical support for Denby's key systems, which include Oracle's E-Business Suite application and associated technical infrastructure. This provides additional resource for Denby's existing internal IT team through peaks of activity or for technically complex issues.
Denby's support arrangement with Teamsolve also ensures business continuity in the event of planned or unplanned staff absences. In these instances, Teamsolve support will switch to first line support and manage the systems in their entirety. This agreement also includes hardware whereby Teamsolve act as a single point of ownership and liaise with third party hardware vendors.
Denby took the decision to out-task elements of their support to a chosen Oracle partner following an operational streamlining exercise. Out-tasking was recognised as a cost-effective way to ensure that Denby's own IT Department had access to hands-on, highly skilled resource as and when required and through periods of planned or unplanned absence.
Oracle's E-Business Suite application is well established at Denby and has been underpinning business operations for over ten years. Modules in use include; Oracle Finance, Manufacturing and Distribution, Supply Chain Management and Warehouse. The E-Business Suite application is customised around specific business processes and has multiple integrations into systems such as EDI, Denby's website, Microsoft Excel and Access, Lotus Notes and Cognos Powerplay.
Furthermore, Teamsolve support extends to all infrastructure including Servers, Printers, Network Switches, Firewalls and working with current technology support providers to diagnose problems and suggest a fix.
During the support transition, Teamsolve ensured that all previous E-Business Suite system configurations and customisations were fully understood to allow for a seamless technical transition. Cathy Beardsley, IT Project Leader at Denby stated, "We have been very impressed with Teamsolve's professionalism, ability to respond to our requirements and response times. Their communication is measured and well thought out and this has enabled a seamless support transition for both organisations".
Steve Moyle, Teamsolve's Sales Director comments, "We are absolutely delighted to be selected as Denby's Oracle Partner of Choice to support their Oracle E-Business Suite application and surrounding technologies. Denby is obviously a global brand and fantastic to be associated with. More locally, it's great to see Derby businesses coming together to form strong complementary business partnerships".
