Teamsolve 'One Stop Shop' for CASCAiD Ltd
With a relationship spanning two years, Teamsolve are delighted to be CASCAiD's 'Trusted Oracle Advisor' and the first port of call for any Oracle requirement - spanning consultancy, licensing, training support and development.
CASCAiD Ltd, a subsidiary of Loughborough University, is a leading producer of careers software to the Education Sector. Their extensive portfolio of market leading products include CareersMatch, CareerScape and Kudos - which is used in over 80% of secondary schools in the UK.
After traditionally selling their extensive range of careers software in CD format, their strategic direction was shifting towards a predominantly Internet-based product. This new business model created a mission critical need for improvements to the resilience of their back-end Oracle system.
After initially engaging with several suppliers, Teamsolve's Technical Team understood CASCAiD's situation and after a detailed analysis of their business needs, put together a cost-effective solution.

Teamsolve began by providing training for CASCAiD's internal resource, to ensure they were conversant with their Oracle architecture.
This was supplemented by Roadmap consultancy, whereby a Teamsolve Consultant spent time understanding their system and produced a Roadmap consultancy document - detailing their technical and functional requirements and providing a framework for a shift towards high availability.
As well as planning and implementing a RAC (Real Application Cluster) environment, giving CASCAiD a resilient, scaleable architecture, Teamsolve continue to supplement their technical team by providing 2nd line technical support. This enables technical issues to be addressed on an ad-hoc basis, during periods of extreme workloads or staff illness and holiday cover.
