Teamsolve's helping hand to local charity

Teamsolve have celebrated a successful year-end by donating a significant portion of post tax profits to chosen charities. As part of the scheme, £5,000 was given to help establish a performing arts studio at local charity Padley Group's multi-purpose Development Centre.

Padley Group is a Derby-based charity founded in 1985 delivering services to people with complex needs. They work with some of the most socially excluded people in our community, including those with issues such as drug or alcohol addiction,  mental health issues,  homelessness, long-term unemployment and learning disabilities.

The donation will kit out a newly refurbished performing arts suite at their Development Centre, in Derby, that will feature musical rehabilitation and dance workshops.

Padley Development Centre sees in excess of 250 people come and go through the doors every year to participate in their therapeutic educational programme, which concentrates on varied and involving practical activities such as pottery, woodwork, painting and other arts and crafts.

Amanda Page, Chief Executive of Padley Group said, “These kinds of physical activities can really benefit people who need extra support, life or work skills. By engaging in a full programme of therapeutic education we have seen some fantastic results from our students.”

Teamsolve’s contribution has been matched by Derby City Council’s Small Change Fund, enabling the plastering, re-fitting and furnishing of the new performing arts suite – as well as the part funding of a tutor to facilitate the new provision.

Mark Bateman, Managing Director of Teamsolve said: “The Padley Group are doing some amazing work within our local community, Teamsolve feel privileged to be able to help in their vision of providing a safe environment for people who are at risk in society.”

“I hope the new performing arts suite will continue the superb social inclusion work that the Padley Group undertake in Derby”.
