Oracle and Vale of Glamorgan Council played host to an exclusive Executive Briefing for Local Authorities within the Welsh public sector during the early part of December 2008. The Briefing addressed the area of Business Process Transformation and how it can significantly improve customer services within the public sector.
This hot topic, firmly established in the manufacturing and financial sectors within private industry, is now moving over to the public sector with phenomenal effect, to help address the Government's Transformation Agenda.
Business Process Transformation is fundamental to the delivery of improved public services, and an effective process improvement methodology combined with a modern Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), are key to its enablement.
As one of the UK's leading Oracle Certified Advantage Partners, with an impressive history of projects and extensive client list within the public sector, Teamsolve were delighted to accept the invitation by Oracle to present at the Executive Briefing in Barry, Wales with a primary focus on 'Approaching Business Transformation Through Strategic IT'.
Steve Moyle, Sales and Marketing Director at Teamsolve says, "Innovation and the use of Strategic IT is fundamental to the drive for efficiencies and cost reduction in public sector services and to work towards the Government's Transformation Agenda even the unthinkable must be considered.
"I think most IT Directors are constantly considering these factors and any advice from any organisation with a track record of helping Authorities to address their priorities and produce a cohesive IT transformation strategy with minimum risk would be valued and that's why Oracle invited Teamsolve to address this strategy briefing today".
The Briefing also consisted of sessions by Oracle, Vale of Glamorgan Council and Luton Borough Council.
Teamsolve helped Luton Borough Council achieve ambitious 5% efficiency targets set by the Government, by successfully deploying SOA and LSS at the Authority. The audience heard first hand from Chris Kadwill, Luton's ICT Solutions Manager, as to how these processes enabled Luton to improve their services and ultimately become at the forefront of the Government's Transformation Agenda.
