Oracle Unveils PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management 9.1

Oracle today unveiled the latest release of Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise, with PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) 9.1, PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools 8.50, PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management 9.1 and PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal 9.1.

 

This latest release was developed with feedback from more than 150 customers, and offers a broad range of new features designed to accelerate business performance, increase user productivity and lower the cost of ownership.

 

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM 9.1 is a core platform that addresses end-to-end human resources responsibilities for global organisations.  In addition to best-in-class integrated talent management, workforce management and workforce service delivery, the latest version includes embedded Web 2.0 capabilities and new industry-specific enhancements.

 

Part of PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM suite of products, PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management 9.1 enables organisations to proactively manage their learning environment, ensuring that employees acquire knowledge and skills consistent with corporate objectives and regulatory compliance.

 

PeopleTools 8.50 is the PeopleSoft Enterprise technology platform, offering a highly-flexible development environment for customers to manage, customise, integrate and support their PeopleSoft applications.  This latest update features an enriched end user experience through the use of new Web 2.0 capabilities, enhanced integration and expanded reporting options.  PeopleTools 8.50 is the foundation for PeopleSoft 9.1 applications but is also backward-compatible for older releases, increasing the value of customers' current versions without requiring an upgrade of their core applications.

 

PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal 9.1 helps organisations promote engagement and collaboration through the deployment of online communities and Web-based self-service sites for their enterprises.

 

PeopleSoft Enterprise Release

Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.1 is one of the most robust and comprehensive releases in PeopleSoft's history.  It includes 21 new solutions,  1,350 new features, more than 28,000 pages enhanced with Web 2.0 capabilities, 300 new Web services and 200 industry-specific enhancements.

 

Reflecting an updated and enhanced User Interface, PeopleSoft applications now incorporate Web 2.0 collaboration tools such as chat, wikis, discussion forums and tagging to help users engage and connect with others in their knowledge network.  In addition, feature-rich dashboards and workbenches include embedded analytics to promote business insight and user productivity.

 

The robust talent management features of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 help define and visualise organisational goals and cascade specific objectives to one or more employee performance documents, creating organisational alignment and enabling increased user productivity and accelerated overall business performance.  The new Succession Planning solution helps identify key talent, rate and rank high potential employees and visualise results to build an organisation's leadership pipeline.

 

To enable stronger global workforce management PeopleSoft 9.1 includes Extended Leave Framework to support extended country legislative leave programs, HR and Payroll to support customers in China, Thailand and Argentina and Leave Donation program to support employee contributions to humanitarian causes.

 

This latest release of PeopleSoft HCM includes more than 200 deep industry-specific applications, specifically for education and research, public sector, retail, and professional services.

 

With its compatibility to older applications releases, PeopleTools 8.50 helps reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by providing customers valuable technology enhancements without requiring an upgrade to their core applications.
