Oracle today announced that Oracle Identity Manager, an offering within Oracle Identity Management and component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for Gartner's Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning, 2H07 report.

In the Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning, 2H07 report, Gartner states, "User provisioning has achieved a level of technical maturity that delivers relative value for business needs to make security more efficient and comply with regulatory and legal reporting and auditing." Moreover, user provisioning "is ready for deployment for most enterprise identity management business needs."

Oracle Identity Manager is a highly flexible and scalable enterprise identity management system that enables organisations to centrally control user accounts and access privileges within enterprise IT resources. Additionally, Oracle Identity Manager's hot-pluggable architecture delivers flexibility and scalability with product features, such as, a Java EE implementation, N-tier deployment architecture, browser-based user interfaces and Oracle Grid compatibility as well as out-of-the-box integration to Oracle and non-Oracle enterprise applications.

"Oracle Identity Management is enabling organisations to improve the security of their infrastructure while also delivering business value," said Hasan Rizvi, vice president, Security and Identity Management Products, Oracle. "We believe that successful customer implementations coupled with our placement in industry reports, such as, Gartner's Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning, 2H07 report, further validate our ability to provide organisations with best-in-class identity and access management software."
