Teamsolve are a leading provider of Managed Services in Oracle Database, Applications and Middleware technologies, with a growing client base that stretches around the world. We're currently looking to recruit Oracle DBAs with a strong desire in developing their skills, to provide support across a wide range of clients and technologies.
Successful candidates will provide all round Oracle DBA support to current and future clients and must have the right approach and skills to problem resolution. Successful Team Members will take responsibility for a number of environments ensuring that they are proactively managed and highly available. Duties of the role may involve on-site and remote work, with various operating systems and Oracle versions. Applicants must be prepared to be part of our on-call team and provide flexibility to undertake planned out-of-hours work where required. In addition, candidates must be CRB cleared, or expect to be cleared upon a new application. All positions will be based from our Head Office in Derby.
It is imperative that candidates have the following attributes:
- Excellent Communication skills (Written and Oral) with good attention to detail
- Good commercial awareness
- Innate ability to develop strong relationships
- Good understanding of core support processes (i.e. ITIL)
- Team player with demonstrable ownership of issues and ability to escalate when necessary
- Ability to operate successfully in a multi-tasked environment, with periods of pressure
- Flexibility when it comes to supporting new technologies
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- Oracle RDBMS 9i, 10g and 11g (2 years +)
- Strong Administration of UNIX and Windows operating systems (2 years+)
- Backup/Recovery Skills inc. DR (Standby/DataGuard/RMAN)
- High Availability (RAC)
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Exposure to or experience of PL/SQL
- Oracle Grid Control Administration
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
- Oracle E-business Apps 11i and R12
- OEM
- Oracle Application Server
- ASM
- Other areas of the Oracle technology stack (i.e Advanced Queuing, fact connection failover, single sign on, SSL)
- Development Skills
- Microsoft SQL Server
Desirable Professional Qualifications:
- OCP (Multiple Versions/Disciplines)
